How it works

One clear path, from first call to training at home.

Most people tell us the hardest part was figuring out where to start. So here is the entire process — what happens, how long it takes, and what you walk away with at every step.

  1. 01

30 min · Zoom or phone

    Free consult

A relaxed conversation with our clinical team. You share what you or your child are dealing with; we explain what a brain map can and can’t show, how at-home training works, and what it costs. If we’re not the right fit, we’ll say so.

You leave with: A clear yes/no on fit, and answers to your questions.

  2. 02

≈45 min · Lake Mary office

    Brain map (qEEG)

You’ll wear a soft cap with 19 sensors while we record brainwave activity — nothing goes into the brain; we’re only listening. The visit takes about 45 minutes and the recording itself is under 10. Come with clean, dry hair. Live outside Central Florida — or just too far to drive? We can ship a cap and system to you and run the map remotely.

You leave with: Objective data about how your brain is regulating — not a checklist.

  3. 03

    Virtual · video call

    Report of Findings

On a video call we show you what the map found, what it likely means for focus, mood, sleep or stress, and the exact training plan we recommend. You’ll see the full cost and payment options before you decide anything.

You leave with: Your map, your plan, and a transparent price.

  4. 04

    20–30 min · 5–7× a week

    Train at home

Your kit comes configured for your plan — pick it up at our office, or we ship it to you. Sessions run 20–30 minutes while you watch your own streaming content — the screen responds to your brain in real time. We review your data, adjust protocols remotely, and meet every week on Zoom.

You leave with: Clinic-grade training without the weekly commute.

Step 2, up close

This is the whole visit. No needles, nothing to feel.

A qEEG brain map only listens to the brain’s natural electrical activity — nothing is sent in. Here’s exactly what happens in our Lake Mary office.

  1. 1

    A soft cap goes on

It looks like a swim cap with 19 small sensors built in. We adjust it until it’s comfortable.

  2. 2

A little gel at each sensor

A conductive gel helps each sensor read clearly. No needles — the applicator has a blunt tip and only touches the cap.

  3. 3

    Two small ear clips

Light clips on the earlobes give the recording a reference point.

  4. 4

Sit quietly for a few minutes

Eyes closed, then eyes open — under 10 minutes of recording in total, while your brainwaves appear live on screen.

What you take home

Your brain map, on paper — and explained in plain English.

At your Report of Findings we walk through every page together. Here’s what one of them shows.

  • The head map

Nineteen sensor sites, each colored by whether your activity there sits in the typical range or outside it.

  • Cognitive efficiency

A single gauge for how efficiently the brain is working, with the everyday skills it feeds: attention, memory, processing, problem-solving.

  • Focus, mood and relaxation

Three gauges, each tied to real-world signs like distractibility, rumination or restlessness — so the numbers connect to what you actually see.

  • What it is not

Not a diagnosis, and not an MRI. It’s a measurement of regulation that tells us where to train — and lets us measure change later.

A typical week

Built to fit a real household.

Sessions happen whenever works — before school, after dinner, between meetings. You watch your own shows; the system does the rest.

Your kit

Everything you need, already set up.

The same clinic-grade equipment we’d use in the office — configured for your plan before it reaches your hands.

  • Laptop with training software pre-installed
  • Clinical-grade neurofeedback amplifier
  • Five sensors, placement cap, paste and prep gel
  • Step-by-step video guides
  • Secure remote support — we can see and adjust your setup
  • Weekly Zoom progress meetings with your clinician

After the Foundation Phase

The first five weeks are the Foundation Phase. Then you choose.

At your five-week review we compare your progress against your original map and goals, and decide the next phase together.

Continue training

Keep building on your gains with updated neurofeedback protocols, guided by your weekly data.

Add the metabolic side

Take-home functional lab kits (no blood draw for most) look at gut, nutrient and metabolic factors that affect the brain — and inform a personalized supplement plan.

Do both

Many clients combine brain training with lab-guided nutrition support for a whole-person plan.

Maintenance

Keep your system for tune-ups whenever life calls for one — a hard season, a big change. Optional, on your schedule, and never a dependency: the skill is yours.

Cost & payment

No surprises. You see the full price before you decide.

Your consult is free. The brain map is a complete service on its own — you keep your map and findings whether or not you continue. Your training plan and its full cost are laid out at your Report of Findings, with no obligation.

Process questions

The details people ask about.

What is a qEEG brain map?

A brain map records your brain’s electrical activity using a soft cap with 19 sensors. The visit takes about 45 minutes and the recording itself is under 10. The result shows which areas are over- or under-active, so your training plan is built on data rather than guesswork. It’s painless and non-invasive — just come with clean, dry hair.

Can neurofeedback really be done at home?

Yes. After your in-office brain map, all training happens at home with a clinic-grade kit we configure for you. We monitor your data remotely, adjust your protocols, and meet with you weekly on Zoom — so you get clinical supervision without the weekly commute.

How long is the program?

Every program starts with the Foundation Phase: five weeks of 5–7 short sessions per week. At week five we review your progress together. From there you can continue neurofeedback training, add functional lab testing and a supplement protocol, do both — or move to maintenance, keeping your system for tune-ups when life calls for one.

Is there a maintenance program?

Yes. After the Foundation Phase, you can keep your system for maintenance — a short tune-up whenever life calls for one. Think of it like the skill itself: a child who trained for focus in elementary school can use the same skill years later for the social stress of high school, without turning to medication. Maintenance is optional and on your schedule; it is never a requirement.

Do I have to live near Lake Mary, Florida?

No. Central Florida families usually visit our Lake Mary office — 25 minutes from downtown Orlando — once, for the brain map and kit pickup; everything after that is remote. If the drive is a problem, or you live elsewhere in Florida or in another state, we ship a brain-mapping cap and training system to your door and run the map with you remotely, for a small additional cost.

What does it cost? Do you take insurance?

We don’t bill insurance. We accept HSA/FSA funds and offer financing through the Advance Care Card — interest-free for up to 15 months, with instant online decisions — so the program can be spread into monthly payments. You’ll see the complete cost at your Report of Findings, before you commit to anything. The first consult is free. How to apply →
